Teens texting and driving

Your teen is truly becoming an amazing adult. They just passed their road test and you rewarded them with the car they’ve always wanted. The smile on their face when you handed over the keys to their dream car is enough to melt a parent’s heart and leave you grinning from ear to ear. However, in the back of your mind you feel nervous and worried. As a parent you can’t help but worry about your child’s safety on the road. If they will obey traffic laws, if they will speed, drive under the influence all are fears of a parents. Even though all are dangerous I believe the biggest fear amongst parents and the most common cause of accidents with teens is texting and driving.

Texting behind the wheel

Wouldn’t it be great if you could give your teen the freedom they desire and deserve without having to worry about them texting one of their friends about a party that’s going on tonight while behind the wheel? Well with the text message spy you can monitor their texting so if your teen decides to make the dangerous decision of texting and driving you will know. This can help not only ensure your teens safety but the safety of all drivers on the road.

I know what you’re probably thinking is “how do I know if my teen is driving or not while texting?” Well, the cell phone monitoring programs also have the phone tracking app feature. This can give you the location of your teen at all times so not only can you ensure your teen is exactly where they said they would be but you can make sure on their route to the destination that no texting is occurring.

Is it right to monitor my teens phone?

Many parents struggle with the question of “is it an invasion of privacy to be text spying on my teens messages?” If your intentions for cell phone monitoring are to ensure your teens safety, then you are doing nothing but being a good parent. Some parents think their teen will be angry or feel they are not being given enough trust but they will also understand you worry so much because you care and love your teen as much as you do. Also with the cell phone monitoring program your teen will have no idea that you are monitoring their cell phone activity, which can make for a less nervous parent and a happier and safer teen.

Ways to avoid texting and driving

Parents have enough to worry about on a daily basis, with the cell phone spy monitoring program you can have one less thing to worry about. It is also highly recommended that you sit down and speak to your teen. Let them know about the true dangers of texting and driving and how in a split second things can go from good to horrible. It may be tempting to grab for your phone when you see your best friend just sent you a text message but it’s not worth it and there are multiple ways to avoid the temptation. Simply putting your phone in the glove compartment where you cannot see it can seriously help, if you can’t see you have a message then you can’t answer it. If you’re driving with a friend you can just ask your friend to read the text to you and then tell them what you want to say and have them respond for you. This way you can still answer your messages without having to be distracted from the road. Then, of course we have the much simpler and still effective method just pull over to the side of the road and do your texting. All of these methods help ensure your safety and the safety of drivers around you.
